It can solve the black screen or issues from other forks.

command in the clip: (you need to change the downloaded file name accordingly), run as your login username, DONT run as sudo/root.
mkdir popcorntime
mv [downloaded_file] popcorntime/
cd popcorntime
tar xf [downloaded_file]
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/popcorn-official/popcorn-desktop/development/Create-Desktop-Entry
chmod +x Create-Desktop-Entry
./Create-Desktop-Entry
